How did your integration into the team go after this half-season at the helm? Do you feel comfortable in your suit?
I would never say comfortable, because there is always work to be done. So far, it has been fantastic to be part of this team. I have seen the ups and downs of the last few weeks and I am proud of the huge step forward the team has made since the beginning of the year. It is a little strange sometimes, because I am given a lot of credit for this, when it is work that was started long before I arrived. The credit goes to the whole team, because we were in a difficult situation. Everyone has worked hard. The evolution brought to Austin is working really well.
Let's tackle the difficult subjects straight away, if you don't mind, and in particular the file Esteban Ocon. Was it really impossible to run him in the Grand Prix and then let him take part in the end-of-season tests with Haas ?
We are always very transparent, and have always said that we are inclined to let him do the test with Haas. However, we also have to do what is in our interest. At the end of the day,

To suggest that Ocon could have played into Haas' hands is downright scandalous, concerning a driver who replaced Alpine in the game in Brazil. The stable Alpine In the Briatore fashion, it is the most detestable team on the board!

In fact, reading these explanations, it's all good for Ocon, let's imagine for a moment that he is not (and probably would not have been, his car is so different) at the level expected for this last GP and that Hass beats him to the post Alpine, how he would have been atomized.

In fact, big doubts from the King of Cheaters "Il Magnifico" Flavio about Ocon's professionalism beyond the fact that he did not have the same single-seater as Gasly!
