Ollie Bearman to replace Kevin Magnussen in Baku

Bearman, who will be one of the two regular drivers for the American team in 2025, already knows the car that he will drive next weekend, since he has participated in four free practice sessions this year, and he still has two more to do in the program that Haas. The pilot of F2 will not take part in his first Grand Prix in his career since he had replaced him at short notice Carlos Sainz in Ferrari at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, with the Spaniard suffering from an appendicitis attack. Seventh at the finish, Bearman had impressed, having only discovered his car during Free Practice 3.

The suspension imposed by the FIA ​​on Kevin Magnussen comes after obtaining his eleventh and twelfth penalty points, due to contact with Pierre Gasly at the Italian Grand Prix in Monza. The regulations are very clear on this subject, Magnussen cannot race in Baku because of his twelve penalty points, but he will be able to return to the Singapore Grand Prix, with a clean license. To date, the Danish driver does not have a drive for next year, with Haas having confirmed the presence ofEsteban Ocon alongside Ollie Bearman.

No F2 for Bearman

Bearman will team up next weekend with Haas' other regular driver F1, Nico Hulkenberg. Another good reference to measure yourself against, having competed in a Grand Prix as a teammate of Charles Leclerc. The young wolf will therefore miss both races of the F2 round also held on the streets of the capital of Azerbaijan.
