Introspection process! If the Red Bull team has really submitted to it, the success (or not) of the 2025 season depends on its success. A challenge that is even more perilous than it seems, and which will test much more than its technical ability to react. What will be at stake this season is nothing less than its integrity. That Max Verstappen has acquired the most convincing of his four titles in a hard-fought battle has not cleared away all the clouds that have gathered in the sky of Milton Keynes. Last year, many cracks appeared in the walls of the stable, chipping away at the souls too. Yes, the Dutchman did a fantastic job, even after – especially after! – that Red Bull's advantage began to disappear a quarter of the way through the season. He compensated for the previously unknown weaknesses of his machine. Too dominant the previous season, it had not been pushed to its limits enough to reveal its limits. For a time, in a rather unprecedented way, perplexity, even disbelief, prevailed among the men from Milton Keynes. Where did the evil come from and how could it be remedied?

Last year, RBR lived 2/3 of the season on the achievement of the victories at the beginning of the year. Now the counters are reset, so no more comfortable cushion of a few dozen points to "manage". Since mid-season 2024, RBR has been the 3rd force on the grid in terms of performance behind McLaren and Ferrari, and worse, Newey is no longer there to straighten the bar. So yes, Verstappen risks suffering at least at the beginning. It will perhaps make him a little more humble and it will bring suspense.

As a political animal and given the announced departure of Adrian Newey quite early in the season, one can wonder if Christian Horner did not deliberately cause the fall in the Constructors' standings by keeping TexMex to negotiate 2026 at best via a better allocation of wind tunnel hours in 2025? Especially if his 2024 bonus was mainly indexed on a 4th consecutive Drivers' title...
