This is a great way to please a long-standing partner, and not just any partner. As Petronas celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, Mercedes decided to give a nice nod to the Malaysian oil company, its partner since the return of the Star in F1 in 2010.
Faced with the absence of the Malaysian Grand Prix, the last edition of which dates back to 2017, the German team has opted for the Singapore Grand Prix to appear with a new livery on its W15s. Thus, the Silver Arrows, usually adorned with a silver and black dress, will receive a touch of emerald green, the color so distinctive of Petronas.
Details of the said color will appear on the muzzle as well as on the pontoons of the W15s of Lewis Hamilton and George Russell. This livery is therefore not only a celebration of their 50th anniversary, but a reflection of the importance of Petronas in our team's history and a tribute to our shared journey. » smiles Toto wolff.
The celebrations will continue after the Singapore Grand Prix as Toto Wolff, Lewis Hamilton and George Russell will fly to Malaysia following the race for special events.

Nothing to say other than the color brings cheerfulness to this usually so sad single-seater.
