Secretary General for Sports since 2017 and Executive Director of the F1 2021, Peter Bayer leaves his position at the FIA, the latter indicated in a press release. The interim will be held by Shaila-Ann Rao.
Legal director of the FIA from mid-2016 until the end of 2018, Shaila-Ann Rao then spent the next three and a half years at Classic Mercedes for sale Grand Prix Limited as general advisor then special advisor to Toto wolff.

In particular, he supervised, with the entire Sport Division, the construction of the single-seater pyramid of the Go-karting to F1, the creation of the new World Championship Rally-Raid, as well as improving security and durability across all disciplines. The FIA wishes him the best for the future. »
It remains to be seen whether this will extend the range of actions of François Sicard, recently appointed sporting director of Formula 1.
