Stone by stone, recruitment by recruitment, Aston Martin builds his team to go in quest for the world title, Lawrence's ultimate project Stroll for 2026. The Greens are the most active in the market for engineers and managers. In July alone, the British team was strengthened with two major arrivals: Andy Cowell, former pillar of hegemony Mercedes, has joined the Gaydon brand as Group CEO, while Enrico Cardile, defector from Ferrari, will become the new technical director of Aston Martin in 2025.

And Mike Krack assures us: the major recruitments are far from over. One man is particularly expected from Aston Martin: Adrian Newey. The brilliant British engineer, who will leave Red Bull at the end of the season, has not yet revealed its plans for 2025, but has already secretly visited the Silverstone facilities at the end of last spring. Torn between Ferrari and Aston Martin, the aerodynamicist has still not formalized his choice for his future.

On the English side, even if we hope for the imminent arrival of the multiple world champion engineer, we also specify that his potential recruitment would not be a goal in terms of personnel. “We are still in a period of growth, but I think we need to be open-minded and dynamic, both in terms of personnel and car development., says Mike Krack, Aston Martin Team Principal, in an interview on the British team's website. It's not a sport that rewards consolidation. Obviously, [the project] must be built around a stable core. You need routines and trust, and building that trust can take a long time, but you should never just say 'everything is fine'. »

Aston Martin constantly looking for new engineers

“We must always look for what we can do better, what we can change,” he adds. We've announced several new members of the leadership team over the past few months, and every time someone comes on, I get asked the question: 'Is this the last piece of the puzzle?' This is not the case. This is never the case. We will continue to look to recruit, because there may be someone else who will make us better. »

The Luxembourg manager also assures that the numerous recruitments made by Aston Martin in recent months are additional parts in the green machine, and that they do not replace other elements already in place in the organization chart. “It's important to never forget that we have a lot of talent within the team that we are constantly trying to develop and advance within the organization. You look elsewhere because the organization must remain dynamic, must be open to new perspectives, but we must give the team that is already there the opportunity to mature, to express themselves, to migrate naturally towards areas of greater responsibility. »

While awaiting the possible arrival of Adrian Newey, Aston Martin is continuing the development of its new factory with a view to 2026. For the introduction of the new technical regulations and new engines, the English team will be associated with Honda.

The brilliant Adrian NEWEY has not yet found the house of his dreams in Northamptonshire... close to the M40 motorway to quickly reach Heathrow and thus fly to Cape Town and South Africa (his second home )!!
