From London to Fiorano, there is only one step… at least, that is what one might think, so fast was the sequence. A few hours after the ceremony F1 75 Live, held on Tuesday evening in the British capital where all the liveries for the 2025 season were unveiled, Ferrari took the first plane to Italy and Maranello to carry out the first shakedown of the SF-25.
This Wednesday morning, the Scuderia took to the track with its new car on its private circuit. Charles Leclerc had the honour of taking the wheel for the first time aboard the SF-25. The Monegasque did not fail to greet the tifosi present around the Fiorano track, who came in large numbers to see the new weapon of the Prancing Horse. Lewis Hamilton should also take to the track later in the day.

While the livery has changed slightly compared to 2024, with a darker red and a white stripe on the engine cover, the SF-25 has been completely revised for 2025. Ferrari even estimates that its car is a « completely new car », Frédéric Vasseur had previously indicated that it would be "99%" different from its predecessor. A risk taken despite the Scuderia's great momentum during the last Grands Prix in 2024, even if the Italian team failed against McLaren for the Constructors title.
The main difference between the SF-24 and the SF-25 is the front suspension: in 2025, Ferrari decided to follow the path taken by McLaren and most other teams by opting for a tie-rod system instead of pushrods. This solution thus offers new development possibilities and improves the airflow at the front of the car.
No days off 👊

Tuesday, In London, the two Ferrari drivers were able to give their first impressions before the start of the 2025 season. For the first time, the general public was able to see Lewis Hamilton wearing the red overalls live, a great moment in the Briton's career. “I think the word that comes to mind is ‘reinvigorated’. I feel so full of life and energy, because everything is new. I’m focused on what’s ahead. I’m very proud to be part of this team, something new and exciting for me.”, said the seven-time world champion on stage. Following this shakedown (with a driving limited to 200 km), Ferrari will fly to Bahrain for the F1 winter tests, from February 26 to 28.
