The name of a car de Formula 1 made in Ferrari is always surrounded by an element of mystery as the Team likes to play with appellations according to anniversaries, fashions, or regulations.
A simple glance at the latest creations from Maranello (Italy) is enough to convince yourself of this. Since 2009, fans have seen the F60 parade, followed by the F10, then the 150 Italia (for the 150th anniversary of the proclamation of the Kingdom of Italy).
Came after the F2012, then the F138, the F14 T (the first with a V6 Turbo hybrid), the SF15-T, the SF16-H, the SF70H (for the 70th anniversary of Scuderia Ferrari), the SF71H, the SF90 (for the 90 years of the Ferrari brand), the SF1000 (to celebrate the Scuderia's 1000th GP).
In 2021, we were treated to the SF21 which gave way to the… F1-75 (for the 75th anniversary of the team), itself replaced by the SF-23 (with a hyphen). So, we are not far from Champollion in front of the hieroglyphs.
And in 2024 then? Well, it will simply be SF-24. The future mount of Charles Leclerc et Carlos Sainz will be revealed on February 13.
New year, New name.

What originality, it was hard to come by in Maranello to give birth to such a baptismal name... a non-event! Let's hope she can get involved in the fight for the 2024 titles
