Zhou, Ferrari reserve… and new favourite for a Cadillac steering wheel?

Back in the Ferrari family, seven years after leaving his academy, Guanyu Zhou has found a nice exit door after Sauber... and potentially, a new entry door with Cadillac. And there is no shortage of arguments.

Back to basics for Guanyu-Zhou. After the end of his adventure with Sauber at the end of the 2024 season, where he will have spent three years, the Chinese has found a position at Ferrari as a reserve driver for the 2025 campaign. A house he knows well since he was a member of the Ferrari Driver Academy between 2014 and 2018, before joining theAlpine Academy and access the Formula 1 in 2022.

Three laborious seasons but sponsors and a nationality that can count ... in short, what was previously called a paying driver! The proximity between his manager incidentally Team Principal of a Cadillac team powered by Ferrari could facilitate the arrival of the Chinese alongside a driver flying the Yankee flag; question: will a possible Herta / Zhou duo really make US fans dream, we can doubt it a little. That being said, for Cadillac Marketing, China remains a major commercial market despite the trade war triggered by the new tenant of the White House. So everything is possible ... especially in F1 with dollars at stake!
