Hockenheimring – Ayhancan Güven 2025 DTM champion!

By securing his fifth victory of the season, the Manthey EMA rider has won for the first time in his career in DTM. Güven showed great panache to win this Sunday afternoon. In front of a huge crowd, Güven signed the first steps of his victory from the start of the 16th race of the season by following in the wake of the leaders.

At the hairpin, contact with René Rast (BMW) could have cost him dearly, but the 2018 Carrera Cup France champion continued on his way while Rast did not even see the end of the first lap.

Güven then embarked on a tactical race. His team managed the pit stops perfectly, allowing him to take the lead between the first and second stints. He then held off Marco Wittmann's (BMW) comeback very well. It was imperative that Güven win the race, with Lucas Auer hot on his heels for the overall title! Overtaken by Wittmann's green BMW at the entrance to the stadium, the Turk took the lead three corners from the checkered flag with an absolutely epic overtake!

Güven is the DTM champion, Manthey takes the teams' title, and Morris Schuring is the Junior champion. It's a complete success for Manthey EMA in 2025. Overall, Güven leads Lucas Auer, who misses out on the title by four points. Maro Engel finishes third in 2025.

The DTM once again lived up to its reputation as one of the most competitive GT3 championships on the planet. Looking forward to 2026!
