Two-time winner of the FIA GT event, Raffaele Marciello will be taking the start of this 72e Macau Grand Prix in the category. The Swiss BMW driver, competing with ROWE Racing, will be joined by South African Sheldon Van Der Linde, who notably finished third in the GT World Challenge Europe with WRT. As a reminder, he reached the podium in the World Cup last year, also with WRT.
If the level of this grid is particularly high, promising a weekend of great magnitude, it is notably thanks to the presence of five drivers stamped Porsche. Among them, the Frenchman Dorian Boccolacci, driver linked to the German brand in Asia Pacific, winner of the NLS on the Nürburgring this weekend, will make his debut in Macau. Alongside him, the Turk Ayhancan Güven, very recent champion of the DTM 2025, but also Laurin Heinrich, Alessio Picariello, as well as Laurens Vanthoor will start.
Two 24 Hours of Le Mans winners to start the FIA GT World Cup in Macau
On board three 296 GT3s, Classic Ferrari for sale has chosen to line up once again very prestigious driver profiles for this 2025 edition of the Macau Grand Prix. To compete with the big names chosen by rival manufacturers, the Italians have selected Antonio Fuoco, winner of the 24H of Le Mans in 2024, but also Yifei Ye, AF Corse driver who won the double lap of the clock at Sarthe this season alongside Robert Kubica and Philip Hanson. In the third car, Deng Yi will be at the wheel.

McLaren will field a single car for its return to competition. Optimum Motorsport has chosen Benjamin Goethe to drive the No. 5 entry. Audi, meanwhile, will try its luck again with two R8 LMS GT3 Evo2s driven by FAW Audi Sport Asia Team Phantom. Christopher Haase and Joel Eriksson will be the drivers, while Hong Kong's Adderly Fong will join Uno Racing.
A total of 16 drivers from 12 different nationalities will compete for victory at the Guia circuit. In terms of format, a first qualifying session will highlight the ten best drivers from the session, who will determine the starting grid order in a unique Q2. Subsequently, a 12-lap qualifying race will precede a 16-lap main race.
