Marcus, your first outing as a Junior Porsche Motorsport took place during the Night Of Champions. How did you experience that moment?

It was extremely stressful! When they called me on stage for the announcement, I could hear my heart pounding. (Laughs). Joining Porsche as a Junior is a first step towards achieving my dream: winning the 24H of Le Mans with this manufacturer.

What does it mean to become a manufacturer's representative?

This comes with great responsibility, since all eyes are on you. I enjoy being the hunter, but I don't mind being the hunted. It motivates me to work even harder and become the best. It's a good kind of pressure.

Porsche's support is comprehensive at all levels. How do you plan to use it to progress?

I know I'm going to grow as a driver and as a person. For driving, Sacha Maassen is the go-to coach. He'll be there for every Supercup race. His experience is incredible, and he's coached hundreds of drivers. In other aspects of our lives, the entire staff will be a huge help. Right now, it's becoming a full-time job. It's a bit surreal, I have to admit. I've already found myself in meetings with Kevin Estre or Julien Andlauer, as if it were nothing.

In October, you won the Porsche Carrera Cup France, a year after Alessandro Ghiretti. Just as he became a factory driver, you became a Junior driver like him. Will you ask him for advice?

I think I'm already getting on his nerves, because I've asked him a thousand questions! (Laughs). Alessandro helped me a lot in my first year in PCCF when we were together at Schumacher CLRT. For me, he's an example. He's won everything in the Porsche Cup and it's really cool to have him as a benchmark.

What will the objectives be for next season?

The Porsche Supercup will be a whole new experience. It's a completely different level where I'll need to adapt quickly. There will also be new circuits that I've never raced on before. My first goal will be to get up to speed quickly. As the season progresses, depending on my development, aiming for the title might become my main objective.
