The final of the Porsche Carrera Cup France is shaping up to be a heated affair! This Sunday morning, a few hours before the final race, race management confirmed the results of Race 1 after several penalties were issued. This Saturday, the first clash between the championship leaders was very heated. Marcus Amand (CLRT) Schumacher) and Mathys Jaubert (Martinet by Alméras) touched each other several times.
The Franco-Finnish driver was given a drive-through penalty, which was converted into a 30-second penalty, dropping him to nineteenth place. The Salon-de-Provence native, for his part, was penalized with five and then ten seconds added to his final result. Philippe Alméras's driver finished fourteenth and scored two points in the championship, relegating him to ten points behind the leader.
With his victory, Marvin Klein made a good showing on Saturday, as did Paul Cauhaupé. Both ABM drivers still have a chance of winning the title, as they are sixteen and eighteen points behind Marcus Amand, respectively.
In the rookie category, Chester Kieffer (CLRT Schumacher) was penalized for contact with Mathys Jaubert and lost his victory. Second-place finisher Joran Leneutre (Racing Technology) was penalized for contact with Karen Gaillard. The same penalty was applied to Enzo Joulié (Martinet by Alméras), who touched the 2025 rookie champion. The victory went to Georgi Dimitrov (TFT Racing), a brand newcomer to the series.
