See Alessandro Ghiretti in the paddock of the Porsche Carrera Cup France brings back many memories. PCCF Junior in 2021, runner-up in 2023, and crowned champion last year, the Frenchman is one of the drivers who have made history in the championship.
Junior Porsche Motorsport for the second consecutive season, Alessandro Ghiretti now competes in the Porsche Supercup and the German Cup, still within Schumacher CLRT. This weekend, the defending champion is present at Spa-Francorchamps, in the French Cup, but not behind the wheel. I'm the replacement for the team's official coach: Steven Palette. I'm doing my best to cover for him because Steven is competing in the 24 Hours of Nürburgring. My role is to conduct video and data debriefs with each driver in the team.
It must be said that the Tricolore has solid experience on the Belgian track. I rode here in the German Cup a few weeks ago. It went well with a pole and a victory. Last year in the PCCF, I took both poles and then won both races. So I'm trying to bring them all my personal experience and give them as much advice as possible." During the sessions, Alessandro Ghiretti is in direct contact on the radio with the Junior PCCF 2025, Karen Gaillard.
In this paddock that he knows so well, the weekend coach enjoys this role: " It's an interesting experience. I see pilots grow up like Marcus. (Amand) who was my rookie teammate last year or Louis (Perrot) who is having a good season. Then there are newcomers like Karen (Gaillard) or Chester (Kieffer). I also follow what my old rivals are doing, I'm thinking in particular of Mathys (Jaubert) with whom I fought last year. I'm learning a lot and I know it will help me in my personal career."
With this new role, Alessandro Ghiretti sees a new way of working that could serve him well next month, when he returns to the track at Spa-Francorchamps, in the Porsche Supercup.
