This Monday, Aston Martin announced the composition of its GT driver academy for the 2025 season. Among them, four French drivers are on the list of contenders for the final selection. Erwan Bastard, competing in the European Le Mans Series in the LMGT3 category, Baudouin Detout and Ruben de Sarte, entered in the European GT4 Series, as well as Mathieu Martins, whose season program focuses on the Iberian GT4.

At the end of the year, one of these 23 selected drivers will be chosen as the ninth winner of the program launched in 2014 by Aston Martin. They will receive financial support from the firm until the end of the 2026 season, as well as a test drive in a Vantage GT3. The most recent winner, Jamie Day, has since entered two separate programs for this 2025 edition. The Briton is competing in the GT World Challenge Europe alongside the Asian Le Mans Series in an Aston Martin Vantage GT3.

To determine who will succeed Jamie Day, but also Ross Gunn, who is involved in WEC in the Hypercar category at the wheel of the Aston Martin Valkyrie n°007, or to Roman De Angelis, winner of the 24 Hours of Daytona in the GTD category of theIMSA, a jury composed of distinguished pilots was assembled.

Darren Turner, a two-time winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the GT1 category, will be joined by Jonathan Adam, also a two-time winner of the event in the LMGTE category. Frenchman Valentin Hasse Clot, an Aston Martin factory driver competing in LMGT3 this year, will also be present as a judge on the program.

Expanding rapidly across multiple fronts, Aston Martin continues to invest in its future. In addition to the brand's thriving infrastructure and increasing number of prestigious hires, the Banbury team is embarking on a comprehensive strategy aimed at long-term success.
