Lamera Cup - Race 2: Auto Leclerc drives the point home

The reigning champions didn't have a great weekend at the season opener at Magny-Cours. On the tricky Jarama track, the Lamera shared by Orgeval, Gruau, and Harang perfectly recovered by winning on Sunday afternoon, less than 24 hours after their first triumph in the 4-hour race.

At the end of the 182 laps completed by the first three cars in Sunday's 6-hour race, the tribute came from Grégory Fargier, driver of the Lamera 80 Continental Racing, who finished 1:16,386 behind the winners. "Frankly, there was nothing to be done."he explained. "The defending champions were simply a bit faster than us. And they were also a bit more fortunate than us with their pit stops. On the 3rd step of the podium, the Lamera 41 (Scania France), in the same lap but 24,248 seconds behind the second-placed team, proved, once again, the quality of the crew composed of Stéphane Di Duca, Kenny Coin and Sébastien Grignard.

In Pro-Am, victory went to the 47 (ANM by GL Autosport) shared by Romain Autajon, Didier Moinel and Vincent Pheby.

"We're very proud of this result, which is enhanced by a nice 5th place overall," the crew said before climbing onto the podium. "On a circuit as tricky as Jarama, it's gratifying. Especially since we completed the 6-hour race without changing tires. We took care of them even though the asphalt is abrasive. But this approach allowed us to gain a little time in the pits."

As for the Gentlemen category, it was the 78th of CTF Gustomobile (Nathan Huet, Julien Delmas and Paul Delmas) who won. With a very fine 12th place in the overall standings to boot.
