In this session, it's worth remembering that each of the three drivers has one session. The starting grid is determined by adding their best times together. For a long time, it seemed the drivers of the Lamera 1 (L'Auto Leclerc) would start from pole position. However, Joffrey Dorchy's blistering pace proved decisive, as he set a stratospheric time in the final moments of his session. Combined with the excellent times of Wilfried and Mattéo Merafina, his performance put the Lamera 26 at the front of the pack. Alongside them was the Lamera 1, while the crew of the 5 (RM Concept) lived up to their Elite status by setting the third fastest time, just ahead of the 80 (CTF Continental Racing).
“Securing pole position isn’t very important,” Emmanuel Orgeval said, putting things into perspective. “This weekend, we’re racing on a relatively slow 3,926 km circuit. We’ll quickly find ourselves in traffic. That’s where we’ll need to show agility, common sense, patience, and concentration.”
“We’re going to opt for a relatively cautious pace,” confirmed Pierre Couasnon. “There’s no question of taking any crazy risks while we’re leading the overall standings.”
In the Pro/Am category, the fastest time went to the Lamera 5 shared by Franck Dupuis, Olivier, and Henri Lombard. In the Gentlemen's category, the #78 (CTF Gustomobile) confirmed its dominance and the excellent season of its crew, who will start from 13th place on a grid of 26 cars. The four-hour race will start at 15:00 PM.
