Zolder – Race 1: 3TM62 wins by a hair

After securing pole position in the morning, Milo Sens thought he had the victory in hand. But the championship leaders had to settle for second place.

On the Belgian circuit of Zolder, renowned for its demanding braking, formidable kerbs and limited overtaking opportunities, the 29 crews involved offered a continuous spectacle in front of a large crowd.

And after 240 minutes of battle, 3TM62 #62 had the last word, writing the first page of the beautiful Lamera Cup story at Zolder.

A victory built in adversity

From the outset, the tone was set. The leaders traded blows while refueling strategies and traffic management regularly reshuffled the cards. For over a hundred laps, the gaps remained small and no one managed to truly gain the upper hand.

Under the checkered flag, the #82 Milo Sens of Kevin Caprasse, Lorenzo Donniacuo, Guillaume Mondron, and Simon Tourneur seemed to have pulled off a perfect performance, taking the win after four hours of intense competition. However, a one-minute penalty imposed on the Belgian crew shook up the final standings and handed the victory to the #62 3TM62. This decision rewarded the crew's consistent efforts, having stayed close to the leaders throughout the race. The #82 Milo Sens ultimately inherited second place, while the #76 Mr Bricolage by RM took the final podium position.

The favorites are already under pressure

While some title contenders lived up to expectations, others had a more difficult start. The #1 Continental by Hedonic team, the reigning champion and expected to be among the frontrunners, had to contend with an unfavorable race, jeopardizing its chances of playing a leading role.
