Zolder – Race 2: Auto Leclerc concludes an action-packed Belgian weekend

The long race held this Sunday on the Zolder Circuit had its share of surprises and reshuffled the cards in the fight for the various titles of the Lamera Cup.

After a spectacular first confrontation on Saturday, the Lamera Cup competitors met again on Sunday for the second race of the weekend, the highlight of this third round of the 2026 season. And right from the start, the scenario took a completely unexpected turn.

Back on pole position, the #82 Lamera Milo Sens of Kevin Caprasse, Lorenzo Donniacuo, Guillaume Mondron, and Simon Tourneur saw their hopes for a perfect weekend vanish in the opening moments of the race. Forced to retire early, the Belgian crew watched helplessly as the rest of the race unfolded.

A tough blow for the championship leaders, but not a disaster by any means. Thanks to their pole position and second place finish the previous day, the Milo Racing team leaves Zolder having limited the damage in the standings after a dazzling start to the weekend.

Auto Leclerc is there!

The early exit of the main favorite paved the way for a particularly intense battle for overall victory.

In this context, the #73 L'Auto Leclerc Lamera seized its opportunity perfectly. Emmanuel Orgeval, Adrien Harang, and Benoît Gruau delivered a solid and consistent performance to clinch the victory at the end of a perfectly controlled race.

Behind them, the reigning champions of the #1 Continental by Hedonic Racing of Grégory Fargier, François Coué and Arnaud Maire recovered by climbing onto the second step of the podium after a complicated start to the weekend.

The Elite podium is completed once again by the #76 Mr Bricolage by RM of Antoine Mahler, Antoine Julien and Antoine Barbaroux, who also delivered a particularly convincing performance on the Belgian track.

Astonjet confirms its Pro/Am status

Already very prominent since the start of the weekend, the #29 Astonjet confirmed its full potential during this long race.

Antonio Cristino, Charles Clair and Paul Levet delivered a benchmark performance to win the Pro/Am category and continue their excellent current momentum.

They are ahead of the #47 KCX by GL Autosport of Roman Tajon, Grégoire Croullet and Vincent Pheby, which is still performing well after its demonstration during the first race of the weekend.

The #66 CTF XENItrans of Sarah Cayrolle, Éric Cayrolle, Daniel Hubert and Léo Hubert completes the category podium after a solid and error-free race.

In the Gentlemen's category, the #86 2B Racing car capitalized on the opportunity following the disqualification of Flavus Racing. The crew of Maximilien Bruno, Pierre Ballaera, and Frédéric Locatelli secured a fine victory after a perfectly executed performance.

Heading to Le Castellet for the Lamera Cup

This third round of the season has once again demonstrated the incredible density of the 2026 grid. While Milo Racing still leaves with a valuable points haul despite its Sunday retirement, several crews took the opportunity to get closer in the race for the various titles.

The championship will now observe a short break before resuming its journey from July 10 to 12 on the legendary Paul Ricard circuit, at Castellet, for the fourth round of the season.

A new step that could already have a significant impact on the conquest of the 2026 crowns.
