On a track that was still as dry as ever, but on cooler asphalt than on Saturday, the championship leaders pulled off a near-perfect race. After 296 laps, the Lamera 80 (Continental Racing) won with a 50-second lead over the 421 (Atrax by Hedoninc Racing) and more than 2 laps ahead of the 70 (CTF – 2Be3). For the Lamera in the colors of the manufacturer that equips the promotional cup, this was a very good performance in the championship, since their rivals (L'Auto Leclerc) finished in only 6th place after a number of penalties.
Already brilliant the day before, the drivers of the Lamera 68 (RM Concept) dominated the Pro-Am category. Their 7th place overall (with a 2-lap lead over Astonjet's 71) does not reflect their performance. With half an hour to go, race management imposed a particularly long stop & go to prevent the correction from being too severe for the other competitors in the category. But it is more than likely that the 68 car will be entered among the Elite at the final event in Seville in early November.
In the Gentlemen's category, it was the 44 (Scania by GL Autosport) that won, just like the day before. A 14th place overall, a very good performance for a team that welcomed Léno Coué, the youngest member of the paddock. At 17, with no motorsport experience, he set some remarkable times.
The 8-hour race ranking: 1. And 1st in Elite 80 (Continental Racing) 296 laps; 2. 421 (Atrax by Hedonic Racing) at 50,799 sec; 3. 70 (CTF 2be3) at 2 laps; 4. 74 (CTF Challengers) at 2 laps; 5. 41 (Scania France) at 3 laps; 7th and 1st in Pro-Am (RM Concept) at 5 laps;… 14th and 1st Gentlemen 44 (Scania by GL Autosport) at 17 laps.
