“The Nordschleife, due to its unique characteristics, poses special challenges for a racing car. We are all the more satisfied because we can already provide very positive feedback after our first test with the BMW M4 GT3 Evo.
The fundamentals of the car were extremely good from the first lap, especially when it came to handling. As a driver, you immediately have complete confidence in the BMW M4 GT3 Evo. These are optimal conditions to move on to tuning and further improve performance. I can't wait to participate in the first races in 2025 with the new car! »
From a technical point of view, the German brand did not focus on pure performance but on maneuverability, efficiency and reliability.
On the outside, it welcomes new, smaller aerodynamic mirrors as well as larger air outlets on the front wheel arches. With this Evo, BMW has revised the adjustment possibilities of the rear wing in order to improve aerodynamic efficiency. In addition, the new model is no longer painted in the traditional way but instead covered with a significantly lighter cathodic immersion coating.
On the mechanical side, the propeller manufacturer has installed new anti-roll bars on the front and rear axles, larger rear brake discs and a much thinner and easier to adjust differential which should help reduce wear on the axles. tires and brakes and therefore improve and make driving more consistent.
We already know with which team Jens Klingmann, Augusto Farfus and the other BMW badged drivers will not race in 2025. Indeed, BMW Motorsport recently announced the end of its association with Team RMG at the end of the 2024 GT World campaign. Challenge and Intercontinental GT Challenge.
