The 2025 season of the French Championship FFSAGT lives up to its promise at the Paul-Ricard Circuit (Var). The first round of the weekend held at Le Castellet saw a very good fight between the candidates for the Pro-Am title.
Starting from 6th place on the starting grid, Éric Trémoulet (Mercedes-AMG GT4) had a particularly effective opening stint. The Vic'Team driver fought back to take control of Race 1 after around twenty minutes at the expense of Stanislav Safronov (Aston Martin Vantage GT4). After the mid-race driver change in the pits, the black and green Mercedes continued its march forward. This time driven by Olivier Jouffret, the car bearing the number 64 took a decisive lead until winning.
"I thank the mechanics who spent a long evening optimizing the Mercedes, because we were not in the game during free practice., says Olivier Jouffret. There we have an effective setup!”
At the end of Race 1, there are only three points separating the top 3 in the championship FFSAGT ! Trémoulet-Jouffret is 1 point behind Safronov-Vaintrub, leaders. In 3rd place, we find Gaspard Simon and Pascal Huteau (Alpine A110) is 3 points behind the leading Aston Martin. Everything will be decided on Sunday, during Race 2, which is scheduled to start at 13 p.m. The final will be available to watch live on AUTOhebdo.fr.
The Am title for Lémeret-Auriacombe
In Category Am, Stéphane Lémeret and Stéphane Auriacombe (Alpine A110 GT4) secure the title this Saturday. “It feels weird to be champion after finishing 4th in the category today., says Stéphane Lémeret. I'm still delighted, we finally overcame the Indian sign because the CMR team has already experienced setbacks in previous finals. Our goal was to secure the title on Saturday to celebrate tonight and give it our all on Sunday."
