Misano – Race 1: Victory for Valentino Rossi and Maxime Martin in Italy!

• For his last of the season in the Sprint Cup, Valentino Rossi signs a nice success, at home, on Marco Simoncelli's track. The Italian driver was greatly helped by his teammate Maxime Martin, author of a very good first stint. A victory which, however, will not have been given to the seven-time world champion of Moto GP. The latter had to defend until the last corner to maintain the lead. The No. 4 BMW M3 GT46 is victorious at Misano, for the second year in a row.
• Double for Team WRT! The No. 32 of Dries Vanthoor and Charles Weerts finished in 2nd position. Starting 6th on the grid, the 100% Belgian crew was on a completely different pace. On the first stint, Vanthoor put on a show including a big battle lasting several laps with Ben Green (Emil Frey Racing) where the WRT driver did not hesitate to flex his muscles.
• In the Silver Cup, victory also goes to Team WRT! the BMW n°30 of Sam Haan and Calan Williams. They finished 6th overall. Saintéloc Racing won the race in the Gold category with the No. 25 Audi. Finally, in the Bronze Cup, it is the Porsche n°54 (Dinamic GT) which leaves with the victory.
