At just 13 years old, Keelan Harvick, son of the 2014 NASCAR Cup Series champion, joins Toyota's young driver development program.

Kevin Harvick's son joins the Toyota development program

Toyota Racing Development USA, the branch of the Japanese manufacturer that handles the Tundra, Supra and Camry entries in NASCARThe team announced it has recruited Kevin Harvick's son to offer him opportunities to further his development on asphalt tracks. Thirteen-year-old Keelan Harvick has made no secret of his desire for several years to follow in the footsteps of his father, the 2014 Cup Series champion and Daytona 500 winner seven years earlier.

Harvick, with Toyota's support, will participate in several Late Model races during the 2026 season, continuing down a path that could eventually lead him to ARCA, NASCAR's fourth division, before potentially joining one of the three national series. Last December, the young Harvick won the Snowflake 125 at Five Flags Speedway, one of the major races on the Pro Late Model calendar, becoming the youngest winner in the event's history. The race is traditionally run as a support race for the Snowball Derby.

In 2022, Keelan Harvick, then 10 years old, reached the podium at the IAME World Finals. karting at the Le Mans circuit. Like many NASCAR drivers today, Kevin Harvick's son began his career in karting in 2020 before progressing to stock car racing. Three years older than Brexton Busch, son of two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Busch, the two boys could very well find themselves in NASCAR in a few years, continuing the battles their fathers fought…
