Denny Hamlin continues his conquest of Pocono. Already the record holder for wins on the atypical three-turn oval, the driver of the Toyota No. 11 added an eighth success to his impressive record on Sunday by securing his third consecutive victory.

Starting from pole position, the Joe Gibbs Racing driver perfectly controlled the proceedings on the "Tricky Triangle" of Pennsylvania despite several neutralizations and a spectacular mass crash at the end of the race which notably trapped Christopher Bell, Joey Logano and Bubba Wallace.

Reddick still at the forefront

Facing him, Tyler Reddick kept the suspense alive for a long time. The championship leader tried to close the gap in the final stints but never found a way past an imperious Hamlin. William Byron completed the podium ahead of John Hunter Nemechek, while Kyle Larson snatched fifth place.

This third consecutive victory allows Hamlin to continue his climb up the general classification and confirms once again his extraordinary affinity with Pocono. “When I first came here, this circuit perfectly suited my riding style. It’s a track where you have to preserve your momentum and maintain high speed through the corners. Pocono rewards this type of riding, and that’s undoubtedly the key to my success here.”, explained the American veteran after his latest triumph.

At 45, Hamlin demonstrates that he remains one of the leading figures in the discipline and one of the main candidates for this title which has always eluded him.
