Max Verstappen Will he participate in the 2026 Nürburgring 24 Hours? The Dutch driver caused a sensation in 2025 by obtaining his license allowing him to race in competition on the Nordschleife and does not hide his desire to participate in the Green Hell in GT3.

According to the Germans of Motorsport-Total.com, the head of Mercedes-Benz, Ola Källenius, and the director of competition, Toto wolffreportedly requested the postponement of the first round of the Nürburgring season Endurance Series (NLS), scheduled for March 14 and currently coinciding with the Formula 1 Chinese Grand Prix in Shanghai, in order to allow Verstappen to participate.
« The request for postponement has been received, but nothing more. “That’s what Mike Jäger, the NLS boss, told our German colleagues on this matter. If the postponement is confirmed, the race would take place the following weekend, March 21, between the Chinese and Japanese Grands Prix in Formula 1. Max Verstappen would also have permission from Red Bull to participate in the event.”

I certainly hope the request is rejected. Changing the calendar because a driver, however good he may be, even a four-time F1 champion, wants to train at the expense of all the other competitors who have planned their season is simply unfair. Verstappen will have plenty of time to participate when he's finished his F1 career. Why not remove the rocks from the Saudi desert to please Loeb so he can win the Dakar while we're at it?...

It would be truly surprising if the NLS didn't do everything necessary to have a four-time F1 World Champion at the start of the Nürburgring 24 Hours, which would attract many members of the Oranje Army... and above all, shatter the attendance record for this legendary event, even more popular than the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
