Toyota extends its lead in the Super GT championships after the double header at Fuji. Sunday's victory went to Nirei Fukuzumi.

Fuji, Race 2 – Another triumph and a quadruple for Toyota

The second race of the Super GT weekend held at Fuji Speedway (Japan) saw the insolent domination of ToyotaThis Sunday, August 3, the Japanese brand signed a resounding quadruple.

Without a win for three years, the Rookie Racing team won thanks to the driving of Nirei Fukuzumi. He finished a few tenths ahead of Kenta Yamashita. Hiroaki Ishiura completed the podium. Frenchman Giuliano Alesi (Toyota) had to settle for 7th place. Honda sank with a best-of-three finish of 8th for Riki Okusa. Nissan did its best with two cars in 5th and 6th position.

With a win on Saturday and a second-place finish on Sunday, Tsuboi/Yamashita increased their lead over Sasahara/Alesi to 20 points. Oshima/Fukuzumi moved up to fourth thanks to their victory today.
