- Sho Tsuboi and Ritomo Miyata made a magnificent comeback this Sunday at Autopolis! The two pilots of the Toyota No. 36 from the TOM'S team, starting 12th on the grid, fought their way to the top of the rankings to win their second victory of the year 2023.
- In this thrilling and unpredictable 450-kilometer race, Ritomo Miyata caught long-time leader Hiroki Otsu in the final stint of the race. The two men engaged in a fierce duel for first place at the end of the race, to the advantage of the Toyota driver. The podium is completed by Katsumasa Chiyo and Mitsunori Takaboshi in the #3 Nissan NDDP.
- Thanks to this result, Sho Tsuboi and Ritomo Miyata (69 points) take a seven-point lead in the championship over Katsumasa Chiyo and Mitsunori Takaboshi (62 points), with only one round remaining, in Motegi ( November 4-5). The three crews present on the podium are the only ones still in the running for the Super GT title.
