Deutsche Qualität at the 24 Hours of Spa

Eight cars on the same lap, the first four cars - from four different brands - grouped together in 13 seconds, this edition offered a breathtaking spectacle. And thanks to Philipp Eng, Marco Wittmann and Nicholas Yelloly, BMW won his 25th victory in the classic Ardennes in front of three other cars made in Germany.

The atmosphere was heavy a few minutes before the start of the 24 Hours of Spa. Despite packed stands and a crowd enjoying the walk on the grid at the foot of the Raidillon, no one was in the mood to laugh. A few moments after the traditional national anthems, a minute of silence in tribute to Dilano van't Hoff, who died on the Combes straight a few hours earlier, reminded us how dangerous this exceptional circuit is.

This is undoubtedly to calm the heated minds of those who no longer accept this characteristic of mechanical sports.
