Replaced by Théo Oeverhaus during the opening round, Mathys Jaubert really begins his 2025 season in PCCF this weekend. On the Dijon-Prenois circuit, the native of Salon de Provence is back with Martinet by Alméras: " I am very happy to be back in the championship, this car and my team."
Engaged in ELMS In LMP2, the IDEC Sport driver is having a dream start to the season. In Barcelona and then at Le Castellet last week, he won the first two races of the year. But the 2024 PCCF runner-up has already turned the page: " You have to start from scratch, completely change your mindset. I'm arriving in another category and I have to rebuild everything. The transition from LMP2 to the 992 GT3 Cup is going well. In just three laps, I found my bearings again." After good private tests this Thursday, the Martinet by Alméras driver set the best time in Free Practice 1. Last year, the CLRTs were very fast here. I think the meeting won't be easy. We'll have to take pole position to make things easier for ourselves in the race. We'll work towards that."
With a meeting behind his rivals, Mathys Jaubert is aware that he will have to put together some excellent results if he wants to be in contention for the title: " I have to give 120% to get back into the championship. I'm very motivated!" If he manages to do like Théo Oeverhaus in Barcelona, who scored two wins, he could very well make up some of his deficit in this second round.
