Beyond ambitions, there is preparation. Concrete, tangible, this preparation is organized, and begins this weekend. Porsche Carrera Cup France, at the Dijon-Prenois circuit. For the first time, Chazel Technologie Course is participating in a PCCF meeting, as part of a weekend during which the team is also at the circuit competing in the GT4 France championship. An opportunity the team didn't want to miss.
“New experience, new championship. This is our first time in the Porsche Carrera Cup,” Louis Chazel, the team manager, reminds us. We're used to this sprint format, because we come from theAlpine "Elf Cup Series, where we've been champions twice. This is the next step, with a slightly more powerful car and a slightly larger grid. It's great for us to be here. We'll do a few guest appearances this year to prepare for the future."
Clearly, this logical next step had already been anticipated. In addition to the team's presence in the Porsche Carrera Cup paddock this Dijon weekend, investments have already been made to ensure they arrive in optimal condition. "It's the logical next step. We're arriving in Porsche, we've acquired four chassis since the end of last year, reveals the Team Manager. We're preparing, we're working to be ready for next year. The important thing for that is to meet the entire Porsche France team, the staff, to gain as much experience as possible, particularly regarding the championship regulations. We know that this is a series where the details matter.
In Burgundy, the team entrusted the task of launching this new chapter to Jean-Paul Dominici from Corsica. A long-time collaborator whose feedback will prove invaluable. “Jean-Paul is a loyal member of the team. He’s been with us for over seven years. He’s a gentleman driver, so he comes here aiming to do his best in the Am category while taking things very seriously.” develops Louis Chazel. A first podium finish in the first meet would be fantastic! We're not going to put the cart before the horse, but the ambitions are there.
The two PCCF races this weekend at Dijon-Prenois will be available to follow live on autohebdo.fr this Saturday and Sunday.
