For the opening round of the Easter Cups, the field of Porsche Sprint Challenge France benefited from a clear track to battle against the clock. With the specific format of two drivers (D1 and D2) per car for some crews, the hierarchy shifted between the two sessions.
In the first practice session (determining the grid for Race 1), regular driver Frédéric Ancel showed he hadn't lost any of his speed. With a lap time of 1:27.285, he secured pole position. He narrowly edged out the #94 Porsche (driven by Benjamin Lagier in Q2) and Sébastien Poisson, a solid third with a time of 1:27.730. Eric Debard, also competing in the PCCF series again this year, qualified fourth, just ahead of Alexandre Rasse. Michael Blanchemain also delivered a strong performance, completing the top six in an extremely close session where the top six were separated by less than a second.
The second qualifying session for Race 2 saw lap times drop even further. Victor Blugeon, replacing Sébastien Poisson in the #74 Porsche, stunned the competition by being the only driver to break the 1:27 barrier. With a blistering time of 1:26.850, he secured pole position for the second race of the weekend. He finished more than four-tenths of a second ahead of the formidable Eric Trémoulet (1:27.272). Frédéric Ancel, driving solo this weekend, confirmed his form by setting the third fastest time in Q2 with a 1:28.195. Alexandre Rasse and Eric Debard once again completed the top five, demonstrating impressive consistency. Among the championship contenders, Sylvain Noël finished ninth in this session, just behind Jérôme Boullery.
