The new Ford Mustang GT4 has found its first playground in Europe for 2024. The latest addition to the American manufacturer's competition department, Ford Performance will compete in the GT4 European Seriess with the Academy Motorsport team.

The English structure will not do things by halves and has announced that it is lining up up to 3 examples of the Ford Mustang GT4. The first will go to Will Moore and Matt Nicoll-Jones, authors of victories in British GT4 in 2021 and 2023.
The Academy Motorsport team is no stranger to Ford, as it entered the older version of the Mustang in Britain in 2023. The new iteration of the Ford Mustang GT4 made its debut on Florida soil at the 24 Hours of Daytona in January 2024.
“We've had some fantastic years with the Mustang in the UK, but we've missed the European scene,” says Matt Nicoll-Jones. We plan to build on our recent successes and get off to a good start with the new car this year. »
It remains to be seen whether the Ford Mustang GT4 will return to France on the FFSAGT. We remember that Ford Performance competed in the final of the 2017 season at Paul-Ricard with the old model, but no major program followed.
