The international touring car competition, which saw Frenchman Yann Ehrlacher crowned winner for the third time last November in Macau, will continue to visit eight circuits in 2026. The final will once again take place on the streets of Macau, as is now the tradition.
The 2026 season will begin the weekend of April 23-25 at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico City before heading to Europe in June. Valencia, the Circuit Paul Ricard, and the streets of Vila Real will host the TCR World Tour in June and July, before an Asian tour to conclude the season.
The competitors will indeed spend their October and November in Asia, starting with an event on the Inje Speedium in South Korea (October 3-4), then two rounds in China, in Chengdu and Zhuzhou, and finally the final in Macau, which will take place from November 19 to 22, 2026.
The rounds in Mexico, Valencia, Inje, and Chengdu will feature three races per weekend, while the other four meetings will retain a more traditional two-race structure. This will result in the TCR World Tour champion being crowned after twenty races throughout the year.
Although Lynk & Co has dominated the TCR World Tour in recent seasons, the Japanese manufacturer is leaving the discipline at the dawn of the 2025 season, and Cyan Racing, which until now notably housed champion Yann Ehrlacher and his runner-up Thed Björk, will turn to the parent company of the Chinese brand, Geely, which is expected to field Geely Preface TCRs.
