My memory of those 50 years: your journalists cruising around the ring road at an average speed of 200 km/h in an Alpina B7 turbo. Why didn't you mention that?

Who would have thought in February 1976 that this publication, unlike others that have disappeared, would still exist in 2026, given the explosion of information channels! One question keeps nagging at me: what is its circulation like? What is the readership for this unique and irreplaceable weekly, with a core readership presumably from the "roaring sixties"? Bravo to all those who have had the passion to keep this essential motorsport magazine alive for half a century!

And the price per issue has gone from 5 francs to 46 francs (6.9 euros), a ninefold increase in 50 years. Better than oil, the Swiss franc, or gold!

Yes, 50 years! I have a perfectly clear memory of buying the first issue; I was turning 18 a month later, and so, having read almost all of them, with the exception of my 1979/80 issue of SM, here we are in the 21st century. Glory to AH and to all of you.
