The new member of the Iron Dames is Luna Fluxa. Born in 2010, the young Spaniard joined the team's junior program Mercedes-AMG F1 in 2022, after having his first seasons in karting. She started competing in 2017 and has been traveling across Europe to compete in various series since 2019.

She made her debut by participating in the " women and motor program ", a series launched by the Spanish Automobile Federation to attract more women to motorsport. She then rose through the ranks of Spanish karting in the Alevin category, before moving on to the bigger events of the WSK and the IAME Euro Series, regularly reaching the finals. In 2021, the Spanish-British driver focused on 60 Mini racing and also won the IAME Euro Series in X30 Mini. She moved up to OK Junior in 2022 and remained in the category in 2023.

In 2024, Luna moved up to the OK class and competed in the FIA World and European Championships, where she regularly battled in the top 10. She also competed in the Champions of the Future and Champions of the Future Academy series, and in the latter she led the standings after the first three rounds, having scored several wins and podiums.

« I am very happy and grateful to join the Iron Dames family, Luna Fluxa rejoices. This project is very inspiring for me. Being part of this great group of female athletes performing at the highest level means a lot to me. Having the support of the Mercedes-AMG F1 Team and Iron Dames is the perfect mix to continue my development. I can’t wait to wear both colours on the track.”

« Supporting and developing exciting talent is fundamental to the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team and the Iron Dames programme, adds Gwen Lagrue, young driver development advisor at Mercedes F1 Team. Iron Dames is a fantastic initiative driven by Deborah Mayer’s passion and so we are delighted to partner with them and continue our support for Luna. She is one of the most promising young drivers in top-level international karting. Our collaboration with Iron Dames, as well as our support as a team, will provide Luna with a unique opportunity to maximise her potential and her chance to reach the pinnacle of motorsport. We are confident that she will show the way for many other young girls in the years to come! »

As part of the Iron Dames Young Talents program, Luna will benefit from the unique environment and resources provided by Iron Dames.
