Asian Le Mans Series – Eurasia takes pole at Sepang

It's Eurasia Motorsport's turn to take pole in Asian Le Mans Series. At the wheel of his Ligier JS P2, Nabil Jeffri completed a lap on the Kuala Lumpur circuit in Sepang (Malaysia) in 1'55''224, ahead of the Ligier JS P2 fielded by Tea BBT by more than four tenths and which was entrusted to Luis Felipe Derani.

The Oreca 05s of Jackie Chan DC Racing were further behind since they were on the second row, the No. 8 of Stéphane Richelmi at the head of the Championship having beaten the sister car entrusted to Jazeman Jaafar. The third Ligier JS P2 in the field entered by ARC Brastislava on which Miro Konopka and Konstantins Calko are registered did not qualify after stopping at the side of the track, causing the interruption of qualifying.

KCMG, leading the LMP3 Championship with one point ahead of Jackie Chan DC Racing, was able to recover an additional point by taking pole in the category with the Ligier JS P3 driven by Josh Burdon, author of a time in 1'58''552, where he precedes the Viper Niza Racing LMP3 of Nigel Moore and the Ligier JS P3 of Jackie Chan DC Racing driven by Gabriel Aubry.

It was the No. 6 BMW M3 GT91 of Fist Team AAI which was the fastest in GT, a category where it leads the standings. Jesse Krohn completed a lap in 2'02''601 to beat the Audi R8 LMS of the Tianshi Racing Team driven by Mitch Gilbert by almost three tenths.
