Hello Bernd, this is an unusual car you are driving: the official Safety Car of the Formula 1, a Aston Martin Vantage S. What's it like behind the wheel?

That's great! Aston Martin has been our Safety Car and Medical Car supplier since 2021. After many years of exclusively Mercedes AMG, we now have two manufacturers involved, which is fantastic. Aston Martin is a wonderful brand. They make incredible cars, they have a great team, and we're very happy.

In terms of driving, I'm also delighted. The car covers everything needed for a Safety Car. We started with the old Vantage two years ago. In 2024, we switched to the new model, and now we've been using the S version since the last Dutch GP, which has 680 horsepower, about 15 more than before.

Do you feel the difference?
