Tom Boonen: "I'm no longer aiming to become world champion"

One of Belgium's most successful cyclists in history has turned to motorsport since retiring from cycling in 2017. The man who notably won Paris-Roubaix four times, claimed the green jersey at the 2005 Tour de France, and donned the rainbow jersey at the World Championships the same year, initially tried his hand at circuit racing before discovering a true passion for rallying. His sole ambition is to have fun and relive the popular enthusiasm he so often experienced on two wheels.

In Campine (region which is located on both sides of the border between Belgium and the Netherlands. (Editor's note)! The region is full of lovely wooded and green areas. I invite you to join me for this drive in my Porsche 996 GT2, not far from the workshops of G&A, Guido Kennis's division dedicated to preparing competition cars. He's the one who maintains the BMW 325i E30 that I use to compete in the Belgian Rally Championship. This team does a great job, and it's only thirty minutes from my home.
