Festival of Speed 2024 Ranking – Shootout:

Less than a month after his victory at Pikes Peak (Colorado), Romain Dumas continues to have fun with electric cars produced by Ford. The Frenchman won the Festival of Speed hill climb this Sunday, July 14. Goodwood (Britain).
The Alesian driver swapped his F-150 Lightning Supertruck to find the electrified SuperVan 4.2 with around 2 horsepower. With a time of 000″43, the Frenchman largely beat the time of the former pilot of Formula 1 Scott Speed, by more than two seconds! The American was driving a Subaru WRX derived from the version of Rallycross seen in the United States, called Project Midnight.
“I went close to the wall two turns from the end, I attacked well,” said Romain Dumas, who scored his third victory at Goodwood after 2018 and 2019 with the Volkswagen ID.R. “Goodwood is just a great event. It's quite impressive to go fast with such a car, it's nice to win.
I didn't know Scott Speed's time before my run. There were a lot of off-track events today. I had so much power that it was difficult to find grip coming out of the second corner. I knew I had to attack in the second half of the course. »
Also a regular on the mountain, Raphaël Astier finished at the foot of the podium with theAlpine A110 Pikes Peak.
