McRae wants to return to the Dakar
Alister McRae, the younger brother of the late Colin, is taking on a new challenge. At the end of the year, he wants to return to South America to participate a second time in the new Dakar driving improved McRae Enduros.
For the first time, three McRae Enduros were entered in the 2009 Dakar. After 9500 kilometers in Argentina and Chile, the three prototypes entered reached the finish.
For 2010, Alister McRae is looking even further. Revised chassis, V6 engine abandoned in favor of a double-turbo V8 (still diesel), the McRae Enduro all-terrain vehicle has undergone a profound evolution.
“Now we have to find the necessary funds to leave. My goal is to enter four cars. And I believe it’s entirely possible,” said the former pilot WRC.
