Pierre Gosselin elected President of the FFSA

Due to the Olympic year, elections in the sports federations will now follow one another. At the FFSA, Pierre Gosselin, until then Secretary General and President of the Ligue Île-de-France, was elected by the Steering Committee this Wednesday, June 26, 2024.

This vote followed the decision of the previous President of the FFSA, Nicolas Deschaux, to take on a new professional adventure after four mandates at the head of the Federation. Nicolas Deschaux is leaving to take charge of the Paul-Ricard circuit, following the departure of Stéphane Clair earlier in the year.

A major player in French motorsport for decades, Pierre Gosselin knows perfectly the mechanical workings, both political (he has long participated in the organization of the French Grands Prix and the Paris E-Prix) and technological (co-founder of Quellec which would later become the Formula E) or financial.

Also passionate about historical competitions, Pierre Gosselin will be a real link between the past, present and future of our sport.

“I wanted to express, on behalf of the Steering Committee, all our gratitude but also our most sincere wishes for success to Nicolas Deschaux in the exercise of his new responsibilities at the Paul Ricard circuit,” declared Pierre Gosselin. We are happy to know that he will continue to work for the development and promotion of French motorsport. The ambition still nourished by Nicolas for motorsport and karting has made it possible to reach today a historic level of licensees. The success of our high-level sector, added to the good health of our National Championships, must be credited to its action and make our Federation an example at the international level. »

Pierre Gosselin was elected President for the remainder of the term until the date of the elective General Assembly, set for October 9, 2024.
