Nasser Al-Attiyah, winner of the prologue: "We attacked, not just a little. We attacked a lot! The first eight kilometers, we were really pushing hard to see where we were. At the end of the stage, it was a good time, and when we saw that everyone was coming without beating our time, it meant that we had good speed, a car that works very well, and we just try to keep it up."

Sébastien Loeb, third of the prologue: "Yes, it was a good stage. The goal was to be in first position to have a good choice of starting position tomorrow. That was the only goal of this stage, and also to get a good feeling with the car. The feeling was good, the car worked very well, and we got a good result. So, we should be able to choose a good position for the car."
