Patrick Germain, organizer of the Breton event, had announced it a few minutes after the finish of the Supercar final at Lohéac last August. It is now official, the Rallycross Lohéac returns to the FIA calendar and will host the 5th round of the 2026 European Rallycross Championship.

After being removed from the international calendar in 2021, the Lohéac Rallycross was the highlight of the French Championship. However, the teams from the Bretagne team remained attentive and listened to the FIA.

With the temporary suspension of the World Rallycross Championship and the Electric Supercars (RX1e), the FIA aims to revitalize Rallycross for both teams and spectators. Under these circumstances, the return of Lohéac was inevitable.

Double dose

Spectators at the 50th edition of the Lohéac Rallycross are in for a treat. In addition to the European races, the public will also be able to watch the French Championship races.

“For us, it’s a source of pride to see the European Championship return to Lohéac for the 50th anniversary of our event. We know how essential the vitality of an FIA championship is to allow the French Championship to continue its development.” Patrick Germain points out. I welcome Europe's return to our lands French drivers are thrilled, especially given the new format of this event, which will be combined with a round of the French Championship. And to top it all off, this return will take place at Lohéac, which will be celebrating its 50th anniversary. What better way to mark the return of Euro RX to France? It will be, I'm sure, four days of pure madness. This 50th anniversary will undoubtedly be a truly momentous occasion. I would like to thank everyone involved who contributed to making Lohéac's return to the European Championship calendar a reality, starting with the FFSA, the FIA, and the unwavering support of the AFOR members.
