The FIA ​​unveils the 2026 European Rallycross Championship calendar, with Lohéac returning.

The 2026 season will begin in Northern Europe with the Euro RX Latvia, scheduled for May 9th and 10th. The renowned 1,295 km Biķernieki circuit will host this opening round. Known for its abrasive surface and demanding layout, Biķernieki will present a true technical challenge for the top riders. rallycross from Europe.

Next, the series heads to the Euro RX in Hungary on May 30th and 31st, where the prestigious Nyirád Racing Centre will resonate with the roar of internal combustion engines. This circuit, nicknamed the "Red Cauldron," is renowned for its unique and captivating atmosphere.

The championship continues north with the Euro RX of Sweden, during the magical weekend at Höljes Motorstadion on July 4th and 5th. This event is one of the most celebrated in the sport. A highlight of the season will be the return of the European Rallycross Championship to Ireland, for the first time since the 1990s. Mondello Park will host the Euro RX of Ireland on July 18th and 19th, bringing the championship to a country with a rich rallycross heritage and an enthusiastic fan base.

After a short summer break, the next round will take place at the Lohéac circuit for the Euro RX of France, on August 29th and 30th. This circuit, often described as "the jewel in the crown of rallycross," will once again host the most important event in the world of rallycross, after an absence since 2021.

The season will conclude in style in Lousada with the Euro RX Portugal, scheduled for September 12th and 13th. Lousada, renowned for its unique atmosphere, will host the season finale, having previously opened the season in 2025. Its return as the final event guarantees a spectacular finale.

Emilia Abel, FIA Director of Road Sports, welcomed this new calendar: “The 2026 European Rallycross Championship calendar represents a major step forward, bringing the sport back to the most iconic circuits in rallycross history. These legendary venues are instantly recognizable to fans worldwide, and I am confident that both spectators and drivers will be thrilled to see the best European rallycross talent compete on these tracks that have defined the sport.”

She added that the vision for rallycross was shaped by listening to the teams, drivers, organizers and, most importantly, the fans. "This calendar combines iconic circuits with exciting new additions in regions where rallycross enjoys strong national support."
