World RX Türkiye: The last for Veiby, the title for Kristoffersson

Ole-Christian Veiby will remain the last winner of a World RX round with an electric Supercar, while Johan Kristoffersson has secured his eighth world title in the discipline.

World RX Türkiye: Last for Veiby, title for Kristoffersson

For this final race in history, in its current format, World RX welcomed the Euro RX drivers entered the day before for the European round. It was an opportunity to see electric and thermal engines compete one last time in the same race.

Sanctioned the day before for his attack on Klara Andersson (PWR RX1e), Ole-Christian Veiby (Polo RX1e) dominated qualifying to win the intermediate classification.

Qualifying in pole position after his victory in the semi-final, Veiby found Johan Kristoffersson (Polo RX1e), fresh from his eighth world title, on the front row of the final.

Veiby took the lead, perfectly protected by Kristoffersson. The two KMS team riders managed the final perfectly to secure a one-two finish that definitively confirmed the Team title for KMS.

After a stint in the Joker Tour at the start of the race, Niclas Grönholm (PWR RX1e) beat Joni Turpeinen to finish the season on the podium.
