The world championship of Rallycross is not about to start again. The FIA and World RX are still investigating the fire that occurred in the Special One Racing structure in Lydden Hill (England) on July 21, the Federation decided to postpone the German round scheduled in Estering on August 19 and 20.

« The investigation into the cause of the fire at the World RX UK round at Lydden Hill on July 21 is ongoing. While a large amount of data and information has been collected and analyzed, the FIA has decided, for safety reasons and so that the investigation can continue without delay, to postpone the RX1e round at Estering in Germany , initially scheduled for August 19 and 20, » Explain the promoter in a press release.

This is therefore postponed and not canceled for the moment. This is the same scenario as the previous round in Mettet (Belgium) as part of the World RX Benelux (August 5-6) where the RX1e did not run while the program for the RX2e, Euro RX1 and Euro RX3 was not disrupted and ran normally.

As in Mettet, some of the drivers entered in RX1e could register in RX2e.
