The image sent shivers down my spine. This Friday July 21 in the morning, before the first FIA World tests Rallycross in Lydden Hill (Great Britain), the Special One Racing structure suddenly caught fire. The fire ravaged Sébastien's two cars Loeb and Guerlain Chicherit, as well as the tent and equipment from the French team.

The nine-time world champion WRC reacted to this incident on social networks. Although fortunately no member of the team was injured, all the equipment went up in smoke in the Lydden Hill paddock.
After the fire broke out, the first essential news was to know that no member of the team @sp1racing was injured 🙌🏻 All my thoughts go to the team who are working on this project with so much determination and who saw everything go up in smoke... pic.twitter.com/oLLp9OxUuB

“After the fire which broke out under the structure housing our two cars this morning, the first essential news was to know that no member of the team was injured, wrote Sébastien Loeb.
All my thoughts go to all the men and women who worked or are working on this project with such determination and passion and who saw everything go up in smoke in a few moments..."
The participation of Special One Racing in the meeting of World RX British is obviously almost impossible. It remains to be seen how soon it will be possible to rebuild two Delta Evo-E RXs for the end of the 2023 season.
