Andreas Bakkerud, 34, has confirmed his presence in Brittany from August 29 to 31. For the occasion, the Norwegian will join Klara Andersson in the colors of the PGRX team and will have the Hyundai i20 with which Sébastien Loeb had won the 2023 edition.

Focused on Nitro Cross in recent seasons with the JC Raceteknik / DRR structure, Andreas Bakkerud made sure to reinvest in the European continent this year by creating his own team, then launching the construction of a formidable 600 horsepower Ford Puma which he has been fielding since last spring in the ranks of the Norwegian national championship.

« My goal has never changed and remains clear: to participate in the biggest events of Rallycross of the planet, and Lohéac is naturally part of it since it is the biggest race in the world, says Bakkerud. For me, it was unimaginable not to be able to be there and show what I'm really capable of behind the wheel. Right now, I've reached a stage in my career where I don't want to just drive for the sake of driving anymore. So I need to have a good car with a good team that's committed to doing everything possible to allow me to compete for victory, and that's exactly what the PGRX team can offer me. »

« What I particularly appreciate about Patrick and Charles Guillerme's team is the atmosphere. PGRX is a successful team that has nevertheless maintained a very family-oriented spirit. And then, this Hyundai i20 is one of the few models on the grid that I have never had the opportunity to drive. I expect to have a fantastic weekend, while hoping that the winner of the 2024 edition, Johan Kristoffersson, returns this year, as that would help us put on an exceptional show. »
