Johan Kristoffersson, Niclas Grönholm, the big names of the French championship… and Dorian Boccolacci. This 2024 edition of the Rallycross Lohéac definitely has some very beautiful people from all walks of life.

The kid was therefore one of the main stars of the weekend, always approached in the alleys of the Lohéacian enclosure. Even when he was filming his videos on social networks, where his community is the strongest. Not to mention the parade in town where he largely had the applause meter in his favor. But the Cannes native did not come to Ille-et-Vilaine to make up the numbers. Far from it.

For his first experience in rallycross, Dorian Boccolacci decided to try his luck in Supercars, the premier category of the discipline. An opportunity that became a reality thanks to the Peugeot 208 RX from Eleven motorsport. A novice in this universe, the Maralpin has nevertheless shown some very good things, proving its ability to quickly adapt to its environment.

The results were in his favour with two series victories and a round won overall, allowing him to rank 2nd overall and to rise among the 16 semi-finalists. Enough to discourage some RX specialists. Unfortunately, a small minute delay in the programme anticipated the end of his adventure in Lohéac.

« You know the expression “getting the rug pulled out from under your feet”? This was my first ever Rallycross participation, he writes.

With very little experience in this, the Eleven motorsport team supports me perfectly to learn as quickly as possible. So quickly that we manage to fight against the best in France but also in the world from this first participation. Win 2 series in Rallycross and a Round overall. We rank 2nd overall after the cumulative rounds. Only the first 16 can go to the semi-final. We have the best possible place for my semi-final since we had to start on Pole!

But unfortunately, we arrive 1 minute late during the pre-grid. And we are no longer allowed to start the semi-final. An inexplicable feeling follows. I will only remember the positive of this weekend, a lot of fun at the wheel of this 208hp Peugeot 600 RX. Top partners who supported me in this incredible project and fantastic kids on the side of the track! Thank you Bretons for your welcome. » A bitter end but far from taking away all the merit from his weekend. In any case, his kids will only remember the positive. The victory went to Johan Kristoffersson. Not really a surprise.
